There's something about this summer that has everyone itching to be outside and having a good time with friends. Throw in some drinks, good food and good music and it's a party! If you're local to the Houston area, or looking to getaway for your event, here are 5 venues perfect for the summer.
1111 Studewood $$$$
I love this venue because it is one of Houston's best rooftop venues. You get a great view of the downtown skyline and an indoor space as well. Round tables and chairs come with your booking so you don't have to worry about that. They offer an all-inclusive package which takes
care of decor, food and drinks. You can opt to book the venue only, but keep in mind you must book one of their bartender packages if you plan on serving alcohol. They book pretty quickly, so if you're planning to book with them this summer be ready to put down a deposit ASAP.
This pavilion boasts floor to ceiling windows looking out into the main garden at Hermann Park. Fun fact: The Pavilion was designed by Apple Store architects Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, which is pretty cool. That explains the sleek, modern design. It's perfect for auditorium or cocktail events and sits up to 250 guests. They require you to use their approved vendors for all food, beverage, tenting and valet service needs. As far decor, you're free to choose your own. Which means you can book with us to design your event! Whether you decide to go with a minimal look or floral extravaganza, it's a beautiful space and you really can't go wrong.
Naylor's glass garage door makes this venue perfect for the summer. Most of the space available is indoors, but the garage door opens up to bring the outdoor patio space in. The possibilities are endless. This venue however, has all white walls making it a blank canvas.
You would need to up your decor budget to really bring this space to life. You can keep it light and airy by using bright colors or even a monochromatic themed event. Naylor comes with a few lounge sofas, bar stools, tables and chairs. As far as guest seating goes, you would be taken care of there, but if you're wanting to go all out you would need to put more effort into bringing in texture and color. Keep that in mind when planning out your event budget.
Toros HTX $$$
This space is normally a soccer field and coffee shop, but with the right imagination and resources you can totally transform it into your own indoor/outdoor oasis with modern rustic finishes. There si a balcony lined with artificial turf that overlooks the soccer field. They don't provide your usual event table and chairs, but it comes with a benches and dining table sets inside the coffee shop. It's perfect for a more masculine event or one with non-floral centerpieces. Candles are some of my favorite decor pieces and they work really well in this space. Mix that with some uplights and good music and you've got yourself a vibe!
Sometimes you want that house party feel, just not in your home. This cozy EADO bungalow fits the bill. It's in a central location, making it perfect for your guests' commute. The bungalow is about 1500 square feet and offers an open living area, small game room, 2 guest bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen and spacious backyard. Furniture can be moved around to accommodate your design plans. Due to the low ticket price, you can adjust your budget and spend more on the decor. The backyard is perfect for a tented cocktail day party. It is usually booked on weekends. If you're looking for a decent sized space to host 15-20 people during the week, this is the one. No vendor limitations as well!
