No-Sew Curtain Panels in Under 5 Minutes

Curtains are great for adding character to a room or making ceilings look taller. Whatever your design goal is, curtains and window treatments are a great addition to any room. Curtains over 84" long can get a bit pricey. Especially when you need several panels per window. In this DIY tutorial, I'll show you how I made 108" curtain panels in under 5-minutes without the use of needles or thread...for under $60!

Here's What You'll Need:

Step 1.

To start off, cut your fabric into the desired size per panel. This will help you stay organized and move along without any interruptions on the process. Once you have cut and separated the panel pieces, cut off any dangling thread pieces.

Step 2.

Place your curtain rod across the top of the panel to determine the size of your rod pocket. You will need to give about 1/2 inch of fabric allowance.

Step 3.

For the rod pocket, you will use the 3/8 inch Hemming Tape . Place the rod about 2 inches down from the top edge of the fabric. Make a flap over your rod. This will be your rod pocket. Make sure you leave enough space for your rod to move around. This helps your curtains to open and close seamlessly. When you are satisfied with the width of your rod pocket, iron down the flap to create a crease. Once creased, place the 3/8 inch Hemming Tape a 1/2 inch from the edge of the flap, and iron on low-medium heat.

Step 4.

For the hem of the bottom of your panel, you will use the 3/4 inch Hemming Tape. Lay the hemming tape a 1/2 inch from the bottom edge of your panel. Fold upwards making a fold the exact width of the hemming tape. Place the 3/4 inch Hemming Tape a 1/2 inch from the edge of the flap, and iron on low-medium heat.

Step 5.

Repeat Steps 1-4 for each curtain panel.

Easy as 1, 2, 3...4!
